PG&H Store Opening this Week!

Sunday, October 14, 2018

Opening on Wednesday, PG&H is welcoming Pittsburghers to a new shopping experience in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh. The new retail showroom features a rotating inventory of high quality, beautiful homegoods, produced by regional makers. Located at 536 Smithfield Street, below Mellon Square Park, PG&H will be a welcome addition, bringing fresh retail to a long-vacant spot.

The idea of PG&H is for shoppers, designers, architects, and restauranteurs to step into one space where they can see products that range from furniture, to dishware, to textiles and wall coverings. The store is staged in vingettes showing what a living room, dining room, kitchen or bedroom filled with unique hand produced goods could look like. An excellent spot for shoppers to choose a new dining room table, PG&H will also be a space where a developer looking for unique finishes could source items for an entire apartment complex and likewise, a restaurateur could seek to outfit an entire restaurant with locally produced dishware.

PG&H will also be an experiential site, hosting demonstrations and how to sessions, workshops for makers, and opportunities for makers to meet with clients to undertake custom work commissions.

Keeping with the Pittsburgh maker theme, the store is home to the second outpost of Redhawk Coffee, who will have a daily presence, bringing their locally roasted, independent brew to Downtown. What better way to shop than with a delicious latte in hand? Redhawk Coffee will be available daily from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
