City of Pittsburgh Independence Day Celebration

📍 Point State Park

🕓 Tuesday, July 4 | 4 – 10 p.m.

Enjoy a family-friendly day at the Point! There will be live music from local artists, food trucks, and a family fun zone all evening! At 5 p.m. there will be a special C-17 flyover. Enjoy line dancing and a hot air balloon from 6 – 8 p.m. The main event takes place at 9:35 p.m.! The extravagant fireworks show will feature a soundtrack from TJ the DJ. Learn more.

This free annual event is a can’t-miss for history lovers! The festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a flag raising, and will be followed by an afternoon of living history demonstrations, cannon firing, and more! Learn more.

🕓 Tuesday, July 4 | 6 – 11 p.m.

Celebrate the USA with star-spangled science! Experience special science demonstrations, enjoy a drink from the cafe, and listen to some live entertainment on the deck of the USS Requin submarine. After a day of learning, watch the fireworks from one of the best spots in ‘tahn! Learn more.
