In 2014, Cincinnati, Ohio alt-rockers Walk the Moon took over the pop world with their single “Shut Up and Dance,” which brought huge success as well as a feeling of being misunderstood that eventually lead to the group taking some time off. Bassist Kevin Ray got married, and frontman Nicholas Petricca struggled with grief from losing his father, as well as an examination of his sexuality. “Coming back together,” Petricca said, “we had to navigate a lot of that stuff.” In January, the band released their new single
"Timebomb" and joined Muse as their opening act during their Simulation Theory North American Tour which wraps up this month.
