21st Street Coffee and Tea
Our downtown shop opened in November 2006 as an 80sqft kiosk in the Frick Building lobby on Grant Street where we also debuted Pennsylvania's first PID controlled espresso machine with our Synesso Cyncra (nerd stuff, am I right?) . After 5 years we relocated to a larger space of our own in the newly constructed Three PNC Plaza. It is also called 21st Street in case you were wondering.

Beerhead Bar & Eatery
Beerhead Bar & Eatery began as a quest of two long-time friends, business partners, and restauranteurs. The idea was to start a concept that was unique in both its atmosphere and menu offerings — a concept that they could grow yet had a character that exemplified a favorite local beer pub and gathering place rather than a “cookie cutter” chain restaurant. Local appeal and a local focus were key components of their quest. Through their travels and personal interests in unique beers and spirits, the founders took notice of the growing momentum of the craft beer and liquor markets. They soon developed a concept that married the appeal of offering countless locally and regionally brewed beer and spirits with a contemporary yet timeless atmosphere. The first store (branded under “The Beer Market” trade name) opened in May, 2012 in Vernon Hills, Illinois, offering approximately 500 brands of beer at any given time, live music, and “community” seating, all wrapped within a warm, entertaining environment. The vast and changing local beer offerings, live acoustic music, communal tables, and inviting atmosphere immediately appealed to a wide range of guests. Since the opening of the Vernon Hills store, the Beerhead team has sought to expand their presence in other markets with a keen eye on creating a local environment closely tied to the surrounding communities, breweries, distilleries, and markets.

Braddock’s American Brasserie is a modern cultural celebration of the farm-to-table culinary traditions that original European settlers and farmers brought to this region, and to what the modern farmers and melting pot of people and cultures bring to Pittsburgh today. Led by Chef Brian Volmrich, the value-driven restaurant emphasizes a commitment to fresh, seasonal food from local farms that use sustainable practices and to serving casual, high-quality, handcrafted brasserie-style cuisine and cocktails. Breakfast 7am — 11am Lunch 11am — 2pm Dinner Sunday to Thursday 5pm — 9pm Dinner Friday & Saturday 5pm — 10pm

Braddock's Streetside
Braddock’s Street Side makes history in liquid form. It’s a tribute to the 1791 Whiskey Rebellion at nearby Braddock’s Field — significant as the first time American military troops fought against their own citizens — and Pittsburgh’s robust “cocktail culture,” as well as the modern resurgence of handcrafted, fresh drinks. It features more than 50 kinds of whiskey, an array of signature cocktails and regional beers, a diverse wine list, and the same high-quality food and service as Braddock’s American Brasserie. *serving bar menu until 11 p.m. on weekdays and Midnight on weekends.

Buford's Kitchen
Buford’s Kitchen was born from the talented team behind Pittsburgh’s most talked-about restaurants: contemporary-Asian Pan, flavorful Andora, and fresh Italian Toscana Brick Oven. Step inside our doors, and you’re surrounded by galvanized metal and reclaimed wood. We’d describe the interior as rustic warehouse chic and our atmosphere as pure Southern friendly. Breakfast is served all day long*, and we hope to see you for lunch and dinner, too. Grab a burger, have a specialty milkshake, or join us at the bar for drink specials. When the weather’s nice, enjoy your meal outside. We have three Pittsburgh-area locations, so you won’t have to travel far for real Southern food. A relaxed atmosphere, Southern influenced food and Southern hospitality – you’ll only find it all at Buford’s Kitchen.

Butcher and the Rye

Butcher and the Rye is the third restaurant of Chef Richard DeShantz and second restaurant with business partner, Tolga Sevdik. It boasts a 350+ whiskey bourbon collection and a creative menu of small plates that combines the familiar with the unique. Many of the tables are open seating and not used for reservations however, they have dining areas available for reservations as well.

Two bars, upstairs and downstairs, provide an opportunity to experience different styles of drinks and the craft of bartending. Enjoy a whiskey house, tavern vibe on our main floor, while the upstairs is amazingly designed to the style and class of the supper club and grand cocktail era.

Diamond Market Bar & Grill

Concept: Taking its name from the former public market house that was a hub of activity in Market Square in the first half of the 20th century, the Diamond Market opened on Monday, September 26, employing the approach of a “classic American tavern.

Size: seats 90 inside, 40 outside under canopy with heating to extend the season

Fare: fresh cut onion rings, beef brisket and smoked pulled pork made in-house, a host of craft beers

Diamond Market has the largest selection of craft beers in Market Square. It's so big, they have two Happy Hour times.

Weekdays: Monday through Friday, 5pm - 7pm; or
Last Call: Wednesday through Saturday, 11pm to Midnight.

It's a Buck Off All Drinks. Usually most drafts are $3.50 and most crafts are $4.75. Happy Hour prices are a Buck less than that -- do the math. And this is also a great time to experiment with all those choices of Classic Cocktails.

Meat & Potatoes

Meat and Potatoes" are generally the stand-in for "bread and butter" as shorthand for the staples we need to function. With that thought in mind Chef Richard Deshantz had the desire to enhance his culinary vision by opening up a second restaurant in downtown Pittsburgh. Chef Richards' favorite type of food is simple and approachable; it is the type of food that a chef would eat after a busy day at work. Meat & Potatoes, Pittsburgh's first gastropub, was born in the spring of 2011.

Slice on Broadway

The Slice on Broadway Philosophy

Our job, as we see it, is to make the best darn pizza, sandwiches and salads money can buy. We make everything we possibly can from scratch, and we go out of our way to use the best stuff out there. We wouldn't be able to sleep at night if we didn't.

We have an abnormal obsession with pizza. We're perfectionists. We're stubborn. We're uncompromising. We're probably a little unstable. Bad news for our future therapists; good news for pizza lovers everywhere.

However, stubborn as we are, we're also flexible. We don't like to be constricted by the confines of a written menu. We think we've come up with some mighty fine items here, but if you want something you don't see, just ask, and if we can make it for you, we will.

So check out the menu, chuckle at the funny names, and order something that catches your eye. And don't be afraid to try something new. We promise you'll be glad you did.

Smallman Galley

The Smallman Galley concept was envisioned at sea by two U.S. Navy Lieutenants. In traveling the world, they experienced grand food halls featuring the most unique culinary talent those nations had to offer. Smallman Galley was founded on the belief that talented Chefs here at home deserve a fair shot. We exist to break down the barriers to entry in this notoriously restrictive industry.

On a warship, meals are at the center of daily life – this is the time when the crew can relax and unwind from the rigors of life at sea. The “Galley” is the place where the food for the entire crew is cooked and served. It symbolizes a tight community of hard-working people striving toward a common goal. The word “Smallman,” aside from being the street on which our incubator is located, is nearly synonymous with “local.” Our goal is to make local extraordinary by showcasing the very best culinary talent our city has to offer.
