Out and About: Wigle Whiskey Tasting Room

As a long-time fan of Wigle Whiskey, I was thrilled to hear they were opening a location within walking distance of the PDP office. Wigle is known for producing organic spirits crafted from local materials and making the process fun, entertaining, and accessible along the way.

The Tasting Room and Bottle Shop, which is tucked away near the Oliver Avenue entrance of the Omni William Penn Hotel, is the perfect spot for happy hour. Not only can you enjoy some incredibly delicious cocktails – my favorite was the Wigle Punch – and build your own Old Fashioned, but you can even purchase spirits, bitters, and other Wigle products to take home with you!

Unlike some other craft distilleries, Wigle doesn’t have a stuffy attitude when letting people in on their process; they’re simply eager to educate Pittsburghers and serve up high-quality products and high-quality customer service. This mission totally rings true at the brand-new location, which just officially opened Saturday.
