Christmas came early for the PDP when Peoples Natural Gas gifted us with a natural gas Ford F-250 truck! Very soon, you will see members of the Clean Team using this vehicle throughout the Golden Triangle. The truck will be used every day for such tasks as removing trash, keeping Downtown clean, helping us to set up for our many events, as well as other uses.
Some of the benefits of the truck include the fuel savings, which will allow the PDP to invest more money in the kind of programming that keeps Downtown vibrant and lively. We are also really excited about the environmental benefits. As a city that is continually striving to be clean and green, this vehicle will produce 90% less emissions than a typical gas powered vehicle. It will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20%.
