Special Alert: Request for Proposal seeks contractor services for Penn Ave. outdoor dining area

The PDP is seeking the services of a contractor to provide materials and labor to fully implement a one block section of outdoor dining within Downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership has been awarded funds from the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) Outdoor Dining Grant Program to construct an outdoor dining area. This program provides grant funding towards outdoor dining area installations that enable restaurant seating and service to occur safely outdoors.

The PDP is seeking the services of a contractor to provide materials and labor (at State prevailing wage rates, as required by the American Rescue Plan Act source of funds) to fully implement this one block section of outdoor dining within Downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. This seasonal patio installation will be critical to the placemaking and business development goals of the PDP, on behalf of, and with the engagement of, the restaurants on this block.
