It’s Thursday, your team just finished that big project, all is right with the world, and now you want to celebrate. But planning the perfect get-together can seem like another daunting task before you ever get to relax. Luckily, our friends at Union Standard have put together a checklist that makes sure you’re not forgetting anything important and are setting up your office to have a great evening out together.
First things first, skip the hassle and fill out an event request form. They’ll reach out to you with all the info they need so your team can just show up and enjoy (and you can really show your boss just how on top of things you are). Book a future event there before April 11 and get 15% off.
No one wants to shuffle around schedules last minute or be that person that has to no-show. Pick a date about a week or two in advance that’s mindful of people’s schedules and send it out.
The best happy hours don’t require your team to leave the office, then jump in a car, then drive 20 minutes only to reconvene at some chain restaurant where you’ll be stuck in a booth or at a crowded bar.
At Union Standard, you’ll be central to every office in Downtown. That commute to the perfect happy hour is instead a five-minute walk through Mellon Square, a quick ride on a Healthy Ride bike, or just an elevator ride down.
Whether it’s celebrating the birthdays of the month, acknowledging a team accomplishment, or everyone sharing their favorite quote said around the office that week, bringing some planned structure can help spark the conversations and get people talking outside of their day-to-day groups.
Doing all this and worrying about a drink menu and the food and if the bar will be too crowded can seem like a lot. Union Standard’s got you covered. Whether it’s a small group with reserved space at the bar or your whole office in the private room upstairs overlooking the restaurant, you won’t have to worry about elbowing out strangers to get your order in. Plus, you can look forward to a chef-curated appetizer menu made just for happy hours. Cheers!
