Plan your trip to Downtown

Any way you look at it, this is going to be a busy weekend in Downtown. Between concerts, festivals, and events in local theaters, it’s smart to plan ahead! Luckily we have some great ideas for you:

• Public transit: Fast, easy, and inexpensive, accessing Downtown by bus or light rail is an awesome option.
• Bike: Hop on a Healthy Ride bike share in your neighborhood for a quick, fun trip into Downtown (special bonus: if you have a Port Authority Connect Card, register on Bike Pittsburgh’s website and get free, unlimited 15 minutes rides). Or get on your own two wheels. Bike Pittsburgh has helpful maps and resources. Also, there will be free bike valet parking at the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, located in Point State Park.
• If you are going to drive, one easy way to receive live parking updates is to use ParkPGH. This free app, website, and phone service will tell you what garages have parking spots easily available, as well as which might be full at the moment. Have your passengers pull it up to help direct you to the easiest parking spot for your needs!
