This Thursday, June 20, the 9th Annual Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival kicks off in Downtown! The festival performances take place in multiple locations, including Liberty Avenue and the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, and highlights local and national jazz musicians.
The festival features performances by artists Charles Lloyd, Stanley Clark Band, and WAR, plus many more. Headlined with a sold-out concert from Patti Labelle, this year’s festival promises to appeal to a broad base of music fans while staying true to its jazz roots. You can view the full lineup here.
Most of the events are free to attend, however, performances taking place at The August Wilson Center require a purchased ticket. More information including the full lineups (and road closures) can be found on Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival’s website.
