The Prime Stage Theatre’s adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, premieres Friday, May 5. Set in suburban Pittsburgh, this coming-of-age play follows the story of Charlie, an observant “wallflower.” Charlie charts a course through the strange world between adolescence and adulthood.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower will run May 5 – 7 and 12 – 14 at the New Hazlett Theatre. The matinee on Saturday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m. is a sensory-friendly performance designed to be accessible for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Following Friday’s 8:00 p.m. performance will be a virtual chat with Stephen Chbosky, the writer of the book the play is based on. Tickets can be purchased here.
