New Spark at Bae Bae’s Kitchen

Monday, August 6, 2018
Bae Bae’s Greenhouse, is one of two pilot parklets, aka Sparks, selected as part of the City of Pittsburgh’s 2018 Spark Pilot program. The Spark program aims to create safe, active complete streets by creating extensions for sidewalk activities in existing parking spaces. Located at 951 Liberty Avenue and sponsored by Bae Bae’s Kitchen the Spark is open to the public and provides a lush setting for seating and gathering. Additionally the Greenhouse has some excellent environmental benefits! The Greenhouse is sponsored by Bae Bae’s Kitchen, with construction and maintenance is funded by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. It was designed by Merritt Chase, a Pittsburgh-based landscape architecture and urban design firm, and fabricated by Technique Architectural Products.
