Inclusive Innovation Week

Monday, April 2, 2018

This week marks Inclusive Innovation Week, where the city comes together to connect local government, organizations, businesses, and individuals to bring important conversations to the forefront. The week aims to create welcoming and inclusive experiences and showcase commitment to a Pittsburgh for everyone. It includes more than 65 events and runs from today, Monday, April 2 through Sunday, April 8. The event is a partnership between the city and the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

This is the third year for Inclusive Innovation Week, which includes conversations, workshops, open house events, documentary screenings and even a silent disco. There is programming for family and youth and topics range from sustainability to art and culture and from entrepreneurship to immigrant and refugee inclusion.

Events occur throughout Pittsburgh but there are several notable events happening around Downtown including:

  • Kick Off Conversation at BNY Mellon Innovation Center
  • Several workshops at Alloy 26 in NOVA Place
  • Play for All Ages at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh
  • As well as events at K&L Gates, The Mattress Factory, The Andy Warhol Museum, and more
  • Point Park University will be hosting a 3 hour Facebook Live Recap of the week
