Help us name the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police’s newest horse!
Due to the generosity of the Downtown business community in helping to re-establish the police department’s mounted unit, the Bureau has asked Downtown Pittsburgh to suggest a new name for this magnificent horse.
He is a 6-year-old Percheron/Tennessee Walking cross that recently arrived at the stables in South Park from Glenfield, NY, and he is eager to get to work on the streets of Pittsburgh. This handsome guy is 17 hands tall and weighs approximately 1700 pounds.
We will be accepting suggested names on our Instagram with the hashtag #HorseWithNoNamePGH and at contest@downtownpittsburgh.com, through Thursday, March 1. For more information about the contest, go here.
