Gallery Crawl and Friday Night Market

Experience the true personality of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District at the summer 2017 Gallery Crawl. The crawl features 22 stops spanning 14-blocks, all open for you to explore this Friday, July 7 from 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Each gallery, storefront, and stage has its own unique feel, offering an eclectic, dynamic art and entertainment scene. Start at the August Wilson Center, Revel + Roost, the Backstage Bar, or anywhere in between! The full map of the galleries can be found here.
There are several “must-dos” on the crawl this Friday. Twelve artists are taking over the SPACE Gallery and painting directly on the walls of the gallery! The live art event, Wall Paintings: Storytellers, will culminate in an evening reception with the completed paintings. The Arcade Comedy Theater is offering family-friendly improv shows every half hour. And, Casey Droege Cultural Productions is launching their new gallery at 937 Liberty Avenue. CSA PGH Remix collate’s local artists’ work into shares available for purchase by the public. Check it out!
The Gallery Crawl is a quarterly showcase, so no worries if you can’t make it this July. The next Gallery Crawl is already scheduled for September 22!

As part of the July 7 Gallery Crawl, stop by Market Square from 5:30 – 11:00 p.m. to enjoy some of Pittsburgh’s greatest offerings from clothing to coffee. Be sure to plan ahead and make a list because you won’t want to miss out on any of the great vendors that will be here. Have a sweet tooth? No worries, there will be plenty of yummy treats to get your fix. More of a savory person? We have you covered with options ranging from sandwiches to salsas. Of course, there’s bound to be some great shopping! Pick up some locally-made treasures and check out the jewelry, crafts, art, and more. |
DJ Soy Sos will be there spinning great tunes and there will be games games! So, bring your family and friends and check out it as you make your way through Downtown’s best art!
