Celebrate Spring: Brunch, Art, & a Walk in Downtown 💐

Thursday, March 28, 2019

Spring has officially sprung, and we’ve developed an itinerary for those looking to enjoy the warmer weather in vibrant Downtown.

First, gather your friends and meet up at Union Standard for a spectacular brunch. Try their Bourbon & Vanilla French Toast or delicious Steak & Eggs. Or share fresh oysters and a doughnut platter of housemade potato doughnuts.

Then, visit some of these great spots as you embark on a Downtown walking tour, highlighting Downtown Pittsburgh’s art and architecture.

Here’s the map so it’s easy to follow!

The Two Andys

This vivacious mural on 628 Smithfield Street features Pittsburgh’s two most prominent Andys: Andrew Carnegie and Andy Warhol.

Dollar Bank Lions

These grand lions can be found outside the Dollar Bank on Fourth Avenue, but you’ll have to go inside to view the original sculptures created in 1871 by Max Kohler.

Pittsburgh Recollections

This colorful collage mural lives at the Gateway Center T Station.

Agnes R. Katz Plaza

Sometimes called Eyeball Park, the plaza features a spectacular 25-foot bronze fountain and eyeball-shaped benches.

Arbuckle Coffee Building Reliefs

These hidden stone reliefs reside on Coffee Way between Sixth Avenue and Strawberry Way and depict George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and other prominent figures.

Liberty Avenue Musicians

The 15-foot tall clay figurines pay homage to Pittsburgh’s musical history.
