Always Made New

Monday, October 16, 2017

You may have noticed new posters with photos and quotes popping up around Downtown Pittsburgh with the headline “Always Made New.” This is a new project of the First Lutheran Church and the Downtown Pittsburgh Ministerium. The storytelling project commemorates the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

Always Made New project leaders conducted brief interviews at public sites throughout Downtown, where they invited any interested person in Pittsburgh to share a story about a time when their life was significantly changed. The stories are as diverse as the participants: positive or negative, dramatic or commonplace, resolved or not.

Each participant was professionally photographed by local fine art and events photographer, Sean Carroll. Collected interviews are now being shared both on the Always Made New website and on the posters throughout town. Additionally, several special events have been scheduled as part of the campaign. Be sure to visit the website for all details.
