Did you know that there’s free WiFi in Market Square? It’s super simple and easy to connect. Look for Connect_Downtown as a wifi option anytime you are in the Square! Also, don’t miss the free super-sized games, and the reading room, filled with books, magazines, and more – every single day!

Monday, July 10: Our Fashion Market is back! From 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., come shop from local vendors in the Square including Style Truck, Magnolia on Main, and more!

The lunchtime session of Move it Monday features PiYo with Gail from the PNC YMCA, PiYo is a hybrid of Pilates and yoga – from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Participants may use the PNC YMCA next to Market Square before each session to change, and after each session to shower. Next week will be HIIT with Laura.

And after work, join the Cardio Party! Every Monday evening in Market Square, enjoy High Intensity Interval Training from Michael of The Greater Physique and a DJ to keep you pumped from start to finish. Choose from the 5:30 p.m. session (beginners & children welcome), the6:00 p.m. session (intermediate/previous attendees), or get ready to really MOVE IT and sweat your way through both!

Tuesday, July 11: KidsPlay is back from its holiday break! Stop by the Square from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. for some family-fun activities. Santa will be in the Square to help us with our Christmas in July week! Other guests include the Sarah Heinz Advanced Robotic Program and a fitness activity with Let’s Move!

Wednesday, July 12: As part of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, 100 race and show cars will gather at Station Square beginning at 9:00 and thunder into Downtown at 10:30 on their way to car displays at the U.S. Steel Tower, PPG Place, and Market Square.

Then groove along to some free tunes at Midweek Music in Market Square by CBS Radio from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. through August 23.

In the evening, join us and WHIRL Magazine for our extended Yoga in the Square series! In addition to Sunday mornings, you can now catch your favorite free class Downtown every Wednesday evening from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. through September 27. This week features instruction from Zeb Homison of Yoga Factory Pittsburgh.

Thursday, July 13:  It’s Christmas in July at the Farmers Market! Be sure to stop by to grab your weekly produce, some sweet ticket deals from the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, fresh flowers, and try new local goods! Join us from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., with music from the CLO MiniStars at 11:30.

Friday, July 14: Every Friday brings the Summer Music Series to Market Square, sponsored by Bob FM and Q92.9. Check out live, local music from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 15: From 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., check outSaturday KidsPlay! This Saturday features a penguin encounter with the National Aviary, a visit with Santa, and a craft with the Children’s Museum!

In the evening, stop by our Saturday Night Market! Through October 28, from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m., Market Square will spring to life on Saturdayevenings with a pop-up market featuring hand crafted items such as art, jewelry, apparel, and more.

A special bonus this week: Healthy Ride is launching a fleet of 5 “unicorn” bikes designed by local artists on Saturday, July 15 at PDP’s Night Market. Local Artists include Lizzie Greenberger, Lori Hepner, Jay Obstarczyk, Jason Sauer, and Peter Zurawksi. The 5 unicorn bikes will be rentable around Pittsburgh throughout the Summer.

Healthy Ride’s unicorn bike fleet was created in partnership with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, PPG Paints, and the Office of Public Art.
