The Rink At PPG Extends its 20th Anniversary Season

Monday, February 22, 2021

The Rink at PPG Place will be skating into March! The one-of-a-kind outdoor ice rink will be extending its 20th Anniversary Season and will be open daily through February 28, along with weekend skating Fridays through Sundays, March 5 through March 14.

Since 2001, the Rink at PPG Place has been a much-anticipated Pittsburgh winter tradition. Surrounded by the spectacular crown jewel PPG Place glass skyscraper, you can ice skate in an incomparable atmosphere and enjoy a fun-filled Downtown winter playground. In 2015, the rink was expanded by 25%, increasing its overall surface size to 67% larger than the Rockefeller Center ice rink and two-thirds the size of an NHL hockey rink.

Admission will be limited to the local guidelines for outdoor gatherings. Capacity will be monitored and online ticket services have been established in order to mitigate exposure. Online individual and group tickets may be conveniently purchased on the Rink Page at www.ppgplace.com.

Special discounts are available on Tuesday Family Nights which includes one FREE child admission with each adult admission purchased (use online code TUESDAYFAMILY) and Wednesday Student Nights includes $4.00 admission with a valid student ID or report card. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers.

For the safety of guests and staff, The Rink at PPG Place will follow all CDC guidelines set by local, state, and federal authorities. COVID-19 Protocols include:

●Individuals waiting in line must maintain a distance of six feet.

●Masks must be worn at all times, including when entering the skate rental area while skating and in outside areas when social distancing is not possible.

●Temperature checks will be administered in order to enter the skate rental area.

●Frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected often.
