Solar Spectacle: Where to View the Solar Eclipse in ‘Tahn

On Monday, April 8th, a solar eclipse will span across North America. Pittsburgh will experience 97% totality at 3:18 pm. Grab your friends, family, and eclipse glasses and experience this out-of-this-world event in Downtown!

David L. Lawrence Convention Center – Rooftop Terrace Eclipse Party

🌒 2 – 4 pm

Join the Convention Center for a stellar time of observance on their beautiful rooftop! By reserving a free spot, you’ll be provided with a pair of eclipse glasses. Food and drink will also be available for purchase.

Carnegie Science Center – Eclipse Extravaganza!

🌒 10 am – 5 pm

Experience the ultimate cosmic carnival at the Science Center! The main event is outside at 3:17 pm, but you can enjoy space-themed activities all day long. General admission will grant you access to the exciting programming and a pair of eclipse glasses while supplies last.

Space Bar – Eclipse Viewing Party

🌒 1 – 6 pm

Join Space Bar for a laid-back viewing party. The $5 ticket reserves your seat and a pair of eclipse viewing glasses. While you gaze, try their eclipse-themed cocktail or enjoy a bite to eat from their food menu!

Kimpton Hotel Monaco – Solar Eclipse Rooftop Viewing

🌒 2 – 4 pm

NOTE: This event is sold out to the public, but there are still a limited number of spots available exclusively for hotel guests. Take a break from your day for a celestial experience. Your ticket includes rooftop views, eclipse glasses, and one complimentary drink ticket.
