Each spring, hundreds of volunteers come together to help beautify Downtown Pittsburgh. This April, our annual Redd Up Week is getting an extra boost as part of Allegheny CleanWays’ Immaculate Collection, a regionwide effort to clean and beautify Pittsburgh ahead of the April NFL Draft. Roll up your sleeves and join us for a fun, community-building volunteer event!
Volunteer projects will include a variety of tasks throughout our Downtown neighborhood, including weeding, cleaning public fixtures, painting, removing litter, general sweeping, and detailing. This is the perfect opportunity for small to medium groups to give back. Come ready to dig in and give Downtown a spring cleaning.
Project shifts are available Monday through Friday at 9 – 11am or 1 – 3pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am – 2pm. At the start of each shift, volunteers will meet up at the new Block by Block offices located at 120 Boulevard of the Allies. A volunteer coordinator will provide instructions, supplies, and will walk volunteers to a specific section of Downtown. All supplies provided, no experience necessary! Click on the ‘Sign Up Here’ link below, select a “PDP’s Redd Up Week” shift, and sign up as an individual or a team.
