Did someone say Taco Tuesday? Well my co-worker Becky did last week and I was excited to check out Downtown’s newest taco joint. In what may seem like a somewhat saturated taco market, I’m happy to report that Condado (971 Liberty Avenue) manages to stand out! The create your own taco menu is nearly overwhelming with the variety of choices. You can choose everything from the kind of taco shell, to the proteins, toppings, sauces, and much more! One of the things that I liked best was in addition to the standard protein options, there is an impressive number of vegetarian options, including barbecued jackfruit, which I decided to try for the first time…it was a delicious surprise!
If the build your own menu proves too daunting Condado has you covered with a menu of more than a dozen pre-built tacos, all of which sounded mouth watering. And don’t skip the chips and dips. While there, we tried the ellotes (street corn) queso dip, it is not to be missed! Best of all, Condado is light on the wallet, with most tacos weighing in between $3 to $6! I’m already dreaming up new tacos to try in my head…
