Out and About: Altus HPO

Friday, April 5, 2019

Typically, “professional athlete” and “elite soldier” are not the words you’ll find in my biography. At Altus HPO, however, they promise to train you the same, and based on how sore I was after, I trust the description.

Newly opened in the gorgeously renovated upper-levels of 808 Liberty Avenue, Altus HPO has quickly impressed me as one of the most innovative gyms in the city. The space offers everything from Versaclimbing (which my colleague Chris, our VP of Mobility, said he loved after trying for the first time) to cycling and boxing, along with an extensive Foundry area that has high-tech treadmills, kettlebells, cable stations, and more.

I took the Foundry Class, their signature movement class, and look forward to returning. Our coach Dave was great at explaining all of the movements and correcting my form, and I felt incredibly welcomed into the group. There were a variety of fitness levels present, and I genuinely had a great time working out.

Altus HPO offers a variety of membership levels, from open gym access to unlimited classes and training. Learn more.
