On-Street Services Staff Spotlight: Julius Denson

Friday, January 19, 2024

Julius Denson is a longtime member of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership’s highly acclaimed Clean Team. Learn more about Julius and his new role as a Shift Supervisor.

Julius has been an impactful member of the Clean Team since coming on board in 2007. He has spent the most time in Zone 3 (Cultural District), where he has established good working relationships with employees of the Cultural Trust and Heinz Hall, who would regularly praise the quality of his work.

In September 2021, he was promoted to a Lead Ambassador. Since then, he has worked on Special Projects and developed an expertise in the use of power equipment, going above and beyond by volunteering to train new operators.

As of January 10, 2024, Julius was promoted to Shift Supervisor, where he will be supervising the Power Equipment Operators on the 4 am – 12:30 pm shift. Clean and Safe General Manager James Wimberly said: “Julius is very deserving of this promotion. He has a special ability to take direction and carry out instructions, and I’m looking forward to supporting his further development as a supervisor and team leader. Congratulations, Julius!”
