Free RADical Days Events In and Around Downtown

The annual RADical Days are taking place all over the Neighborhood! The event started as a way to say thank you to taxpayers from the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD). Find free admission to your favorite museums, performances, and local attractions now through October 10.

Arcade Comedy Theater | 943 Liberty Avenue | September 26

Arcade Comedy Theater presents the family-friendly “RADical Comedy Show,” a live performance featuring improvised scenes and games inspired by audience suggestions. The evening features local Pittsburgh comedic performers creating unscripted comedy before your very eyes.

RADical Days with the Northside Corridor | September 30

Spend a day on the Northside and explore the spaces and fun activations between The Andy Warhol Museum, The National Aviary, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Allegheny Commons Park (Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy), City of Asylum, and the Mattress Factory.

Children’s Museum | 10 Children’s Way | October 3

At the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, play with Real Stuff! Build and tinker with old and new technologies in the MAKESHOP. Pump and move water in all directions in Waterplay. Explore contemporary and traditional arts practices in the Studio and much more!

Heinz History Center | 1212 Smallman Street | October 3 and 4

Experience six floors of exciting exhibitions at the Heinz History Center, including the history of Heinz, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, and the interactive Discovery Place kids’ zone. Plus, on Sunday, October 3 at 1pm, enjoy a special performance by the Allegheny Brass Band.

Enjoy a free tour of PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates! Tours take place on the hour with the last tour starting at 2pm. The tours on a first come, first served basis.

Western PA Conservancy | Market Square | October 8

As fall approaches, the Western PA Conservancy is thinking about transitioning ’s downtown flower planters to chrysanthemums and other seasonal plant material. Join WPC for a brief presentation on how they design and implement the Downtown Planter Program for the City of Pittsburgh. Afterwards, participants will help bring natural beauty to Downtown by planting mums for our fall planter display in Market Square.
