A National Aviary Bus Tour: Winter Raptor Excursion

Bring your binoculars and join National Aviary Ornithologist Bob Mulvihill on a wintry driving excursion to count raptors along a prescribed route in western Pennsylvania! Scan the skies, trees, utility poles, and other perches for nearly a dozen raptors, including the winter-only Rough-legged Hawk and Northern Shrike. You’ll even stop to look for a Bald Eagle nest! Plus, Bob will log your findings as part of the Hawk Migration Association of North America’s annual winter raptor survey. All ages and experience levels are welcome.

  • $100 for nonmembers; $90 for members (price includes lunch)
