As an RCO, the PDP will conduct public development activities meetings to review upcoming projects to be reviewed by applicable City of Pittsburgh Commissions and Boards. View upcoming meetings at the bottom of this page. A meeting is required for any development activity that occurs within the Golden Triangle that requires a public hearing AND meets one of the following thresholds:

  • 2,400 sq.ft. of new or expanded structure
  • new construction of 4+ residential units
  • new or enlarged parking area with 10+ stalls
  • use variances
  • zoning map amendments
  • project development plans
  • planned developments – PLDP
  • planned developments – FLDP
  • master development plans
  • institutional master plans
  • an application to the Historic Review Commission
  • an application to the Art Commission

All public meetings will take place at least thirty (30) days prior to the applicants first public hearing (not briefing). The intent of RCO’s are to improve the flow of information between developers and the community to encourage inclusive and cooperative participation from neighborhood stakeholders. Regular meetings allow community groups to give feedback at an early stage of the City’s development review process. Any Downtown resident, business, property owner, or other type of stakeholder is welcomed to attend.
