The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust welcomes submissions of artworks that explore the profound and complex connections between humans and animals, be they companions, pets, wildlife, or creatures of myth or imagination.

Each year, esteemed jurors select artists from hundreds of submissions to exhibit their work in the exhibition. Additionally, six prizes are awarded including the prestigious Best in Show award which comes with a $2500 cash prize. Past recipients of the Best in Show award include: Evangeline Mensah-Agyekum Scott Hunter (2022), Ana Armengod Ulric Joseph (2019).
