"tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE" has been active in Pittsburgh as a moviemaker, composer, musician, performance artist, political activist, & writer since he moved here in 1996. At age 69 he now claims that his having made 698 movie in the last 47 years qualifies him as the world's most prolific moviemaker in the 127 year history of such things. For "Consciousness Expansion Score Movie", his 205th feature-length production, he built an extension on his house for the purpose of doubling his (M)Usic Room & made multiple documentaries of the process. From there, he distilled these docs into one & interpreted the physical actions of the building into musical expression markings. This notation is then added to the building doc & turned into the score for the production of the movie's soundtrack. For the live realization of this demanding score, he's joined by the phenomenal talents of Ben Opie: alto sax, Eric Lipsky: cello, Devin Sherman: guitar, Jeff Weston: contrabass - with tENT, himself, playing electronics & percussion.
