Whiskey Walking Tour

May 7, 2022 - May 28, 2022 | 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Love whiskey? Walking? Pittsburgh? This sounds like the tour for you! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Come downtown for our whiskey history tour, where you will discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. We start the tour with a sample of the oldest and longest continuously produced whiskey in America and end the tour at our friends at 1700 Penn Ave where we will sample 4 different types of whiskey. As we walk the streets of Downtown, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion in Pittsburgh, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, how Prohibition affected the region, the revival of craft spirits, and Wigle’s own history as local and family-owned business. Cheers! - PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a bar crawl but a whiskey history tour with final whiskey tasting! - INCLUDED: 5 generous whiskey samples / hot toddy (black tea with whiskey), hot cider or hot mint tea on cold days / coupon for one free drink at the Wigle distillery / $2 off coupon at 1700 Penn Ave
