In this Eco-Justice for All! workshop, Joy Katz, poet and social practice artist, offers writing prompts to guide participants in dreaming up an interruption. What’s an interruption? A modest, playful way to draw attention to an injustice that you are already thinking about. Opportunities for interruption are close by in our environment—in a neighborhood, at a workplace, or in your home. After group discussion, writing, and conversation with Joy, participants will compose instructions for their own micro-activist interruption. We invite participants to turn their instructions into a poem and carry out their plan, document it, and share it by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
