Tuhin Das is a poet, activist, political columnist, short story writer, and essayist who is currently a writer-in–residence of City of Asylum in Pittsburgh. Born and raised in Bangladesh, Tuhin has been the target of fundamentalist militant groups who have murdered secular writers and activists.  In 2016, to save his own life, he had no choice but to go into hiding and find a way out of his home country.  Mr. Das will share with us his life experience as well as his writing which will include excerpts from an upcoming book: Exile Poems.
