Celebrate the Lunar New Year with family-friendly festivities showcasing Pan-Asian culture, such as Chinese lion and fan and ribbon dances, beautiful pipa music and skillful martial arts demonstrations. 2019 is the Year of the Golden Pig, a great year to make money and full of joy, friendship and love for all the Chinese zodiac signs. At 5 p.m., head upstairs for the Lunar New Year banquet featuring a traditional multi-course Mandarin-style feast (tickets required). Pittsburgh’s Lunar New Year celebration will culminate February 17 at the free parade in Squirrel Hill starting at 11 a.m.
