"Amistad" is based on the true events of the 1839 revolt on board the slave ship Amistad bound for America.  An international legal battle ensues to determine the freedom of the slaves who led the revolt.  Starring Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins and Djimon Hounsou.  (1997)
