DNA has opened new frontiers in genealogy, but it can present complications for genealogists with Ashkenazi Jewish heritage.Endogamy—the term for marriages within a social group—can greatly complicate DNA results, increasing the number of “matches” and making it hard to tell who is your potential relative and who simply shares a lot of DNA with you.

In this virtual meeting, Jennifer Mendelsohn will present the basics of DNA, helping you avoid some of the pitfalls of DNA research and teaching you some tips for moving forward.
