“Into the Seventeenth Generation” by Eric Lidji

This book tells the story of the life and work of Rabbi Walter Jacob. As the senior rabbi of Rodef Shalom Congregation in Pittsburgh, Jacob created Horizon Homes Inc. and established the Biblical Botanical Garden. He is a leading expert of the liberal interpretation of Jewish law and a founder of the Abraham Geiger College, the first rabbinic seminary in Germany since World War II.
