Moe’s Southwest Grill Reopens this Week
The “Welcome to Moe’s!®” mantra will return to Market Square at Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurant on Tuesday, July 31 after a five month remodel. The remodel nearly doubled the restaurant’s size and gave the space an updated look to create one of the fastest and freshest lunches offered in the Central Business District. A new restaurant entrance on Forbes Avenue is dedicated to fulfill To-Go orders placed on the Moe’s mobile app. Moe’s has more than 700 locations nationwide and this is the first to roll out the dedicated To-Go operation.

Inkwell at Oxford on Pittsburgh Today Live
For July’s Shop Downtown Segment on KDKA’s Pittsburgh Today Live, we featured Inkwell at Oxford. Although not new to Downtown (they’d been in the Allegheny building since the 90’s!), they recently relocated to One Oxford Centere – the entrance is street level on Fourth Avenue. Check out their segment where they show some of the unique gifts and stationery offerings!

AC Hotel Opens
Guests began checking into the new AC Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown, a seven-story, 134-room hotel located in the heart of the Downtown, last week. Located steps from the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, AC Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown’s design-led aesthetic, Level 7 bar with rooftop patio and restaurant, and unique co-work and meeting spaces allow travelers and locals alike to experience Pittsburgh in a unique setting.

love, Pittsburgh Opens Pop Up Shop in Downtown
love, Pittsburgh’s third store is located at 535 Smithfield Street in the lobby of the historic Oliver Building.  They are operating the shop as a six-month pop-up shop and will carry many of the same handmade gifts, stationery, home goods, t-shirts, tasteful Pittsburgh-themed gifts, seasonal items, and jewelry that are found in their Mount Washington and Liberty Avenue locations. Additionally, the owners plan to use the Oliver Building location to expand their locally based food and drink offerings and test new food offerings with a wider audience.

Welcome, Forbes Tavern
Earlier this month, Forbes Tavern opened at 310 Forbes Avenue. This new pub is from the team behind Lot 17. Featuring a delicious, simple menu and a great industrial chic design, the restaurant is a wonderful, welcome addition to Downtown.

Scoobi
Have you ever wanted to zip around Downtown on a cool little scooter? If so, Scoobi showed up in Downtown last week to help fulfill that wish! Scoobi is a mobile application based on-demand mobility service for individuals in need of rides to their preferred destination by way of an electric scooter. Sign up, watch a few short instructional videos, then ride at will! Scoobi has placed one hundred electric scooters around Pittsburgh (largely in Downtown and the East End) that anyone 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license can rent on-demand at a low cost.

Molinaro Ristorante Comes to Market Square
We are so happy to welcome Molinaro Ristorante to Market Square. This lovely restaurant opened earlier this month in the spot that was previously occupied by Poros. The beautiful, high-end Italian restaurant features homemade pastas, pizzas, exquisitely prepared fish and seafood, and of course lovely cocktails and desserts. We think they are the perfect addition to Downtown.
