Comcast Light Up Night® Preview

The countdown to Comcast Light Up Night® is on! Celebrate the official kickoff to the holiday season with free entertainment, activities, music, fireworks, tree lighting, and memories all across the Golden Triangle.

Music and Entertainment

Jam out with American Idol star, Adam Lambert, on the Comcast Mane stage at 8:30 p.m., and Beauty Slap on the BNY Mellon New Music Stage at 6:00 p.m.

Kids and adults alike will enjoy Celebrating the Music of Fred Rogers with special appearances by Daniel Tiger at the EQT Plaza.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will once again open the doors to Heinz Hall for several free shot concerts, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Events and Activities

Celebrate the opening of the Peoples Gas Holiday Market™ and countdown with Santa at 5:45 p.m. as he flips the giant switch to the dazzling BNY Mellon Season of Lights Display. Then, enjoy a dazzling display as choreographed lights dance across the buildings in Market Square, set to a medley of your favorite holiday songs.

Stop by the City-County Building and check out the Gingerbread House Display and Competition. And, returning this year, see a model train display weaving through the exhibit.

Official Tree Lightings and Ceremonies

No holiday season in Pittsburgh is complete without a visit to the Highmark Christmas Tree. The tree lighting will take place at 7:00 p.m. with everyone’s favorite mailman, Mr. McFeely.

Fireworks

Pittsburgh’s biggest party of the year has the biggest finale, put on by the first family of pyrotechnics, Zambelli! Find a spot on Ft. Duquesne Boulevard for the BNY Mellon Fireworks Finale, starting at 9:30 p.m.
