Highlight: Fourth of July in Downtown

We know some people have an extra long weekend ahead, so we wanted to make sure you can plan the perfect Independence Day Celebration.

EQT’s Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta is presenting their Celebrate America event at Point State Park on July 4.  The event is set to kick off at noon. Below is a timeline of events for the whole day:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Fort Pitt Museum will have a flag raising ceremony, reenactors, rifle & musket demos, fife & drum performances, etc
  • 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Food vendors, bike valet, military appreciation expo, etc in Point State Park
  • 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Kids Zone will include patriotic crafts, face painting, airbrush tattoos, gem mining, etc
  • 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm Performers are scheduled to play at the Main Stage
  • 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. USAF Flyover
  • 9:35 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Fireworks

In addition, The Heinz Field Fourth of July Celebration will have activities on Art Rooney Avenue and free admission into Heinz Field.  The Cadillac Three, the Stickers, and Tim Litvin are scheduled to perform. Gates open at 2:00 p.m.  The event ends when the fireworks show is finished.

The Heinz History Center is also hosting a flag ceremony in their great hall at 12:00 p.m. and Venture Outdoors is offering a fireworks paddle beginning at 7:00 p.m.
