On August 26, Forbes Avenue from Wood Street to Market Square will transform into a Caribbean paradise thanks to Pirata and Revel + Roost. From 2:00 – 10:00 p.m., the street will have island vibes, themed food and drink, and live music. Every hour will feature a different musician, so check the schedule here to make sure you catch your favorite performer. The event will also have local street vendors selling artisan crafts so be sure to make time for shopping.

Of course, you’ll work up an appetite (even on island time) which will surely be cured with the special menus that both venues will be offering. With everything from corn on the cob and banana boats with chicken, Jamaican rice, mango, and pineapples to Cuban sandwiches and boozy popsicles, there’s something for everyone to feast on. And no block party would be complete without drinks so be sure to check out the beverage menu here! This fun and free event is open to anyone who is 21+ so make sure to tell your friends to meet you on Forbes for the ultimate staycation summer celebration!

More info can be found here or on the event’s Facebook page!
