This weekend, Pittsburghers and visitors alike are invited to celebrate our great jazz legacy at the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival. For 3 days, jazz music and diverse crowds will fill the streets of Downtown. The jam sessions, beer gardens, and concerts will flow from one style to another, sure to keep the vibes “fresh” all weekend long. The event is produced by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
The lineup is eclectic and all-encompassing featuring band leaders like Linda Oh, jazz legends like David Sanborn and Odean Pope, and some of the hottest jazz stars today like Sean Jones, Tia Fuller, and The Bad Plus.
on Friday night, don’t miss Rhythm & Groove, the ultimate party of the year, at the August Wilson Center from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. VIP guests will enjoy an exclusive experience beginning at 6:00 p.m. including a post-concert Meet ‘n Greet with David Sanborn, exclusive musical entertainment by Allan Harris’ Strayhorn Suite and access to the VIP lounge which features an open bar and appetizers. More details and tickets are available here.
The Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival is happening in Market Square, the August Wilson Center, and everywhere in between. Concerts will span throughout the Cultural District from June 16-18. You can view festival and event maps here.
