Pints, Parties & Parades: St. Paddy’s Day in the ‘Burgh

Luck is in the air! Gather friends and family and spend St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown. Here are a few ways to celebrate Pittsburgh’s proud Irish heritage!

Pittsburgh St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When? Saturday, March 16 at 10 am

Where? Grant Street & Boulevard of the Allies. View the parade route here.

The Steel City boasts one of the largest St. Patrick’s day celebrations in the country! This 150+ year old tradition boasts a parade full of Irish step dancers, marching bands, community organizations and more! Plus, stick around Downtown after the parade for fun programming in Market Square.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Celebration @ Mitchell’s Pub

When? Saturday, March 16 starting 8 am

Where? 304 Ross St

Located in the heart of Downtown, Mitchell’s has been one of the Burgh’s favorite restaurants and bars for more than 100 years! Swing by this famed family-owned pub for their biggest celebration of the year – doors open at 8 a.m.!

Howl at the Moon – St. Patrick’s Day Party

When? Friday, March 15th from 6 pm – 2 am; Saturday, March 16th from 4 pm – 2am

Where? 125 7th Street

Lace up your dancing shoes and let the luck of the Irish shine down on you! Howl at the Moon will be hosting a party with drink specials and live music. Plus, enter to win a Happy Hour Party on their website!

Space Bar St. Paddy’s Party

When? Saturday, March 16th from 12 – 11 pm

Where? 22 Market Square

Celebrate Space Bar’s first St. Patrick’s Day Downtown! They’ll be serving up beer, wine, cocktails, and specialty shots.

Kegs & Eggs @ City Works

When? Saturday, March 16 from 8 – 11 am

Where? 2 PPG Place

Join City Works bright and early for some St. Patrick’s shenanigans! Tickets for this pre-parade party are $25 and include $5 drink specials and a breakfast buffet like no other! Sláinte!

St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Celebration at Puttery

When? Friday, March 15 – Sunday, March 17

Where? 1415 Smallman Street

Join the Puttery for a shamrockin’ weekend filled with music, dancing, and lots of green! Hit the bar for some specialty cocktails, then test your luck on one of their immersive mini golf courses.

St. Patrick’s Food Specials @ City Works

Can’t make it to Kegs & Eggs? Don’t fret! City Works will have a limited edition holiday food and drink specials including Irish Mac N’ Cheese, Baby Guinness Shots and so much more!

St. Patrick’s Day Specials @ Ritual House

When? Saturday, March 16

Where? 524 William Penn Place

Ritual House will be featuring one-day-only specials to celebrate the holiday! Enjoy traditional Irish cuisine, specialty cocktails, and their special Baileys Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake.

Kegs & Eggs @ The Commoner

When? Saturday, March 16 from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm

Where? 620 William Penn Place

Feeling lucky? Dive into The Commoner’s glazed corner brisket hash, topped with a fried egg and a selection of Irish beverages. Reservations are recommended.

St. Patrick’s Day Desserts @ La Gourmandine

When? Monday, March 11 – Sunday, March 17

Where? 308 Forbes Avenue

Treat yourself to a St. Patrick’s Day treat from La Gourmandine! For one week only, they are offering an oversized macaron cake with lychee mousseline and fresh raspberries, as well as a standard-sized macaron with Bailey’s cream filling.
