The Backyard at 8th and Penn is the Cultural District’s summer arts park—a destination that embraces artistic exploration, collaboration, and creation. Featuring regional and international artists, the Backyard is a casual meeting place for you to gather with friends and family to enjoy culinary, visual, and performing arts in a comfortable and inviting environment.

Stop by the Backyard during all open hours for tasty food offerings from the Good Eats food truck and a thirst-quenching beverage from Pittsburgh Mobile Bars. Guests can expect classic outdoor patio furniture, new landscaping featuring EcoGrass, and a variety of artistic installations—all setting the scene for laid-back, comfortable gatherings with neighbors, friends, and family.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust welcomes you to the Backyard, hoping you will take full advantage of this amenity during the summer months. The park is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Find the most up-to-date performance lineup at TrustArts.org/Backyard.
