Out and About: Talia Cucina & Rosticceria

Monday, April 3, 2017

Talia hit Downtown just a few weeks ago and has already become one of my favorite happy hour destinations, thanks in large part to three words: Prosecco on tap! I’ve had the opportunity to sample some of their small bites, including the divine cheese plate, and their unique pizza – the crust is something of a cross between pie and a traditional crust – and is incredibly addictive. But I hadn’t yet delved into the menu until I met a friend for lunch this week.

Since the full restaurant name is Talia Cucina & Rosticceria, I thought it smart to try one of their standout roasted meat items. I’d been hearing a lot about their porcetta (a stuffed pork roast) and decided to give the sandwich a try. It was served on a hearty, crusty loaf of bread, along with ricotta-rapini spread and charred cippolini onions. It was absolutely delicious. I’m already eyeing-up the open faced short rib sandwich for my next visit! Talia is a beautiful addition to the Downtown restaurant scene.
