Early Notice: Carnegie Library Downtown Reopening Tour & Celebration

Monday, April 5, 2021

You’re invited to tour the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Downtown branch on Saturday, April 17, set to reopen soon after a year-long renovation that has redesigned the branch as a fully accessible, digital-forward new destination library for the Pittsburgh region.

Located on Smithfield Street, the reimagined first floor of the library features a two-story foyer, a welcoming window seating area, and ample space for collections, resources, and technology. The second floor includes dynamic spaces for children, teens, and adults, as well as meeting rooms for large groups and co-working and quiet workspaces for smaller gatherings.

Registration is required. A limited number of timed tickets will be available for reservation in advance of the event. Learn more.
