Since 1987, MCG Jazz has provided audiences a chance to witness world-class jazz artists deliver innovative performances and recordings at its 350-seat music hall in Pittsburgh.

International superstars Nancy Wilson, Herbie Hancock, Billy Taylor, Dizzy Gillespie, Wynton Marsalis, Dave Brubeck, and many more have graced the MCG Jazz stage.

DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh will take you on a trip to the MCG Jazz concert hall, studios and overall Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild/Bidwell Training Center facility in the Manchester neighborhood of the Northside.

Presented by MCG Jazz, whose mission is to preserve, present, and promote jazz. Through their performances, they strengthen the long time Pittsburgh jazz community and contribute to the overall cultural and artistic diversity of the region. Through their live recordings they reach a national and international audience.

Due to COVID-19, our monthly Specialty Tours are postponed, but DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh is now opening doors for you virtually!

DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh relies heavily on ticket revenue to remain sustainable.  Since COVID-19, that revenue stream no longer exists.

So, we are asking for a suggested donation of $5 – $10, to support the development of this virtual content for you, until we can begin again to offer bus and walking tours.
