Smithsonian Channel Screening: “Black in Space: Breaking the Color Barrier”

The Heinz History Center will partner with the Smithsonian Channel to host an exclusive preview screening of the Smithsonian Channel documentary “Black in Space: Breaking the Color Barrier,” followed by a panel discussion. The documentary charts the United States’ efforts to send the first African American astronaut into space at the height of the Cold War and Civil Rights Movement. A panel discussion will follow the film screening.

This event is free and open to the public but advance registration is required at heinzhistorycenter.org.
