Children's Museum

Pittsburgh, Pa 15212

Big League Fun is an educational exhibit that emphasizes the science and math behind the game. Explore the exciting world of Major League Baseball through engaging hands-on activities, including:

  • In the Announcer's Booth, give play-by-play based on real game clips, add sound effects and play back to hear your broadcast.
  • In the Fan Club, dress up as a team player and make your own baseball card with your favorite team logo.
  • Interview players, coaches and fans using green-screen technology.
  • Take the mound and pitch into the strike zone or be the umpire and make the call.
  • Step up to the plate where a digital screen records the swing count, displays the ball’s trajectory, and reports the outcome based on the hit.
  • Who's on First - you! Get tips from a virtual first-base coach as you lead off or run to second.
  • Grab a glove and catch a fly ball. Tips for body and glove positioning help you get the ball in the pocket.
  • Answer trivia questions, calculate batting averages and solve physics-themed challenges.
