Spend an afternoon at the forge crafting a functional piece of hand-forged steel.
In this extended, beginner-friendly blacksmithing class, participants will learn foundational forging techniques while creating their own rustic ladle from raw metal.
This five-hour workshop goes beyond the Blacksmithing Basics classes, giving you more time at the anvil to shape, refine, and finish a complete, usable tool.
No prior experience is required—just a willingness to get your hands dirty and try something new.
You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind ladle and a deeper understanding of traditional blacksmithing skills.
These sessions are led by Rivers of Steel staff artist and bladesmith Jared Ondovchik (aka Artifact Metalworks).
