Spring Advocacy Network Gathering: Infrastructure Look-ahead

Mar 19, 2026 - Mar 19, 2026 | 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

There are bike and pedestrian advocacy groups in neighborhoods all over Pittsburgh and the surrounding municipalities, and these quarterly gatherings are an opportunity to support one another, share important updates that affect all of us, learn useful skills, and have a good time together.

They will be looking ahead at safe streets infrastructure projects planned this year with guests including representatives from:

  • City of Pittsburgh Dept of Mobility & Infrastructure (DOMI) to talk about various complete streets projects that involve improved infrastructure for biking, walking, and neighborhood traffic calming we can expect to see move forward this year.
  • PennDOT representatives to talk about the scope and schedule of trail closures expected in Frick Park near Commercial St as part of the I-376 bridge project.

Updates will also be shared on advocacy campaigns for bike and pedestrian safety happening across the city.
